In the Summer of 2009, Sol Doran & Herbie Cole decided to raise money for their school library by climbing the Ponte d'Angolon in Morzine.
They had climbed the Col de Cou in Morzine the previous year, but this time wanted a much bigger challenge. A two day challenge with a night on the mountain!

'We came to the mountain and we climbed it! And an epic climb it was too - with daytime temperatures reaching +35 degrees and nightime lows of minus 5 degrees, we suffered from the heat and the freezing cold! We had to deal with frozen water bottles, blazing sunshine, rockfalls, river crossings and steep ridge ascents roped together.
And just as we thought it was all over ... unwanted passengers in Herbie's rucksack ... viper snakes!'.

Sol & Herbie managed to raise £1000 to buy new books for their school library at Noremarsh Junior School in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire. A fantastic achievement.
